Johnny Appleseed Junior Ecology Kids Club

Learning to save and manage money is important. Thanks to EECU’s Johnny Appleseed Junior Ecology Kids Club, it can be fun too. This educational club is the perfect way to teach kids ages 12 and younger the value of saving money, while also encouraging them to think about conserving the Earth and its resources.

Johnny Appleseed members receive special gifts when they open a Savings Account and make their first deposit. Plus, any time they make a single deposit of any amount, we'll stamp their reward card. After five stamps, the child can choose a prize from the toy chest, and the card will be entered into an annual drawing for a chance to win great prizes. It’s fun to watch a Savings Account grow, and these gifts add a little extra excitement!

Our club members come up with some great ideas for helping our environment, and we print the best suggestions each year in our club calendar. Winners of the national contest are awarded $50.00. Out of this national contest, one of EECU's own won! Here is Katy Grace K., age 7, this year's winner. Katy Grace's picture will be featured in the 2011 club calendar. She is pictured with her $50 Visa Gift Card.

We believe financial habits start early. Open a Johnny Appleseed Kids Club Savings Account for your child or grandchild with an initial deposit of $5.00 or more. Stop by any EECU branch location or contact a Member Service Representative at 517.787.2060 or 877.894.5033 to sign your kids up today! Be sure to visit the OFFICIAL JOHNNY APPLESEED JUNIOR ECOLOGY CLUB SITE for many more links, games, and FUN just for kids!
