Junior Achievement's Grand Prix '11

EECU – A Community Credit Union is pleased to announce today that in addition to participating and racing in the Junior Achievement Grand Prix on June 3rd, they have also contributed funds to the organization to help provide young people in the community with the skills necessary to compete and succeed in the 21st Century.

Seven EECU employees sold 300 raffle tickets to raise $1,500.00 (including a $200.00 donation from the Credit Union) for JA’s “Race for Education” Grand Prix. In addition to raffle tickets, the group raised funds in a variety of other creative ways throughout May, including branch bake sales, popcorn day and much more! “EECU is proud to support such an important and worthy cause that helps to educate and inspire the youth in our community to value free enterprise and understand business and economics to improve the quality of their lives,” said Steve Cobb, EECU President and Chief Executive Officer.
