How To Fundraise With YouTube Part 1

When it comes to deciding what you want to sell or offer for a fundraiser, that's the easy part. Whether you are deciding on cookies or clothing, you have to have a hook. The "hook" is what will make you stand out from the others who are fundraising and what can drive the crowd to your area!

The hook can be anything from creating a catchy slogan and working it in your pitch, or wearing some funky clothes to create a memorable experience. Well, your credit union is here to give you an even better hook to pump up those fundraising dollars! And the answer is... YouTube!

You might be asking yourself, "How can YouTube help me earn more money?" Well, let's take a look at the three ways creating a YouTube video can bring in more money!

1. More exposure means more opportunity

Try this exercise and you will see why YouTube can be beneficial. Think of the amount of people you discussed your fundraiser with. Now out of those people, how much money did you generate? You are most likely connecting the dots and figuring out that the more people who hear about your fundraiser, the more money you can make. If you open your fundraiser out to the YouTube community, you will be surprised at the amount of opportunity it can bring.

Will just putting a YouTube video online bring in the big money by itself? Lets get into that next...

2. Easy to share on social sites where videos are dominant

The best thing about social sites like Facebook and Twitter is the users have the ability to re-share and re-tweet information they deem funny, useful, and even offensive. Although we are not concerned with the last one, the first two is where you can gain the most from. The idea here is to post your video that you created on to your social networking sites and gain the most exposure from them. Remember to share the information and add your own personality to the mix... nobody wants commercials on Facebook.

So we have created a captivating video, we have uploaded the video to YouTube and have shared it on Facebook. If you are thinking this is the end of the road and now you can sit back and relax, you are mistaken. Stay tuned for another great blog post from your credit union on the third step and wrap up of how YouTube can help you fundraise!
