Branch Enhancements for Member Convenience and Safety

EECU – A Community Credit Union is pleased to announce their commitment to providing greater convenience and safety to their members through a number of branch and Automated Teller Machine (ATM) enhancements in 2012.

Four of EECU’s eight ATMs have been completely upgraded to NCR 6634 models, which provide state-of-the-art voice-guidance software for added member convenience, as well as greater accessibility and security. “The ‘Text-to-Speech’ technology will allow EECU members and other members of the community using the ATMs to plug in their headphones and listen to step-by-step instructions for conducting transactions privately,” said EECU President and Chief Executive Officer, Steve Cobb. “This means everyone can use EECU’s ATMs with ease and confidence, and we are proud to add this service to our list of benefits.” EECU’s ATM improvements meet the recently changed accessibility standards with regards to ATMs under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). One additional EECU ATM received a software upgrade and EECU’s other three ATMs were already in compliance.

Newly upgraded EECU ATM locations include: Jackson, Michigan Center and Hillsdale branches, as well as Menard’s in Michigan Center, MI. For added convenience, the three branch ATMs were moved to the first drive-up lane of each location, a drive-up lane was added at the Jackson and Michigan Center offices, and the drive-up lanes will be upgraded and renovated at the Hillsdale branch.

For additional safety and security, EECU’s Jackson office on Parnall Road is currently undergoing the construction of the main walk-in entrance for members, as well as the back employee entrances. The Jackson branch will also be receiving interior lobby improvements. During construction, the Credit Union is asking staff and members to swap parking areas and lobby entrances, and EECU appreciates their members’ understanding and patience during this time of transition. Branch enhancements are expected to be completed by early June.

EECU is pleased to remind its members and the community that the Credit Union is strong, secure and ready to fulfill their financial lending and deposit needs, and new members are always welcome.
