Chilly Fall Days & Homemade Lattes

I've been enjoying the fall weather so much, but sometimes it's a bit chilly and you just need something to warm you up. I looked up a few different homemade latte recipes for times when I want to save some cash and make a warm drink at home instead of spending $4 at the coffee shop. You don't even have to own an espresso machine to make one of these lattes!

You just need your regular coffee ingredients: milk, freshly ground coffee, flavored syrup and whipped cream.

Brew some pretty strong coffee. You can do this in a drip coffee maker or a french press (which was what I used). French press coffee tends to be a little stronger, which is good for this recipe.

Heat up a mug of milk in the microwave for 1 minute and then whip it really well. I used my blender because it's fast and easy but you could also use a whisk and do it by hand.

Pour the coffee into your mug so it's about 1/4 way full. Add some caramel syrup (or whatever flavor you have) and stir that together.

Pour the warm, whipped milk into the mug and top with whipped cream and a drizzle of caramel.
Perfect for these crisp days. Enjoy!
