We are honored to be a sponsor and to be present at Childrenz Challenge for a second year. Childrenz Challenge is a muddy obstacle course designed for children ages 4-13 years of age. Two courses were within the event; ages 4-8 competed on a 1 ½ mile course, and ages 9-13 competed on a 2 mile course.
Childrenz Challenge held the Michigan Community Credit Union School Challenge, which awards the top four schools that have the most participating students, based on percentage, with prize money. Childrenz Challenge awarded fourth place with $500 to Ezra Eby Elementary, third place with $1,000 to George Long Elementary, and second place with $1,500 to Queens Elementary. We awarded $5,000 to Columbia Elementary as the first place winner. Representatives of Columbia Elementary stated that this prize money will be used for their art program. “Michigan Community Credit Union is a big supporter of local schools, and we are very thrilled to be able to award this prize money,” said Hamilton.
