Michigan Community Credit Union Awards College Scholarships to Area Students

We are so pleased to announce that their 2016 College Scholarships have been awarded to Heather Darby, James Darby, Kara Newton, and Zachary Schossau.

The winners are selected based on their excellence in academics and outstanding community service, and each student is rewarded with a $1,000 scholarship to a college or university of their choice. Heather will be continuing her education at Cornerstone University, James will be continuing his education at Bethel College, Kara, who recently graduated from Western high school, will be attending Spring Arbor University, and Zachary, who also attends Spring Arbor University, will be continuing his education at this institution.

Our Board of Directors, management, and staff have faith in the youth of tomorrow! In that regard, our scholarships were developed to help local students continue their education. “At Michigan Community Credit Union, education is something that is valued. We are so excited to give these students the opportunity to continue their education and expand their knowledge. We believe in the young adults of our community, and we are happy to support them.” said Tina Hamilton, our CEO. We congratulate all applicants for their high academic scores, leadership and accomplishments throughout their educational journey!
